The Story of CALDEAZ

True to our specialist abilities, we have decided to reverse-engineer our story, starting with where we are,  and what we can do for you, NOW, working backwards, from there, to our beginning.

CALDEAZ Manufacturing Technologies (CALDEAZ) is the sole South African distributor of the full range of Kreon Technologies’ (a company based in France) 3D products. Quoting from Kreon’s website:

‘For more than 20 years, the Kreon Company has implemented advanced technologies, and manufactured systems with high quality materials. We control the assembly process of our products, and calibrate them at every stage. We are committed to providing our customers with solutions, in aiming to help them decrease production costs and time, to increase efficiency and to control their processes.’

Centrally located, in Bloemfontein, CALDEAZ is ideally situated to service South Africa, SADC, and the rest of the African continent.

In addition to the supply of the Kreon range of 3D scanning and 3D measurement solutions, CALDEAZ supplies:

• 3D engineering products and services
• All related software
• 3D cameras, and

Renders all related services, on an in-house and mobile basis.

CALDEAZ was founded in 2007, by Ludrick Barnard.

In 2000, Ludrick was appointed as manager of the Centre for Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing, at the Central University of Technology, in Bloemfontein. As head of the CRPM, he was responsible for developing products for clients by means of design, reverse engineering, and additive manufacturing, also known as rapid prototyping aka 3D printing.

1996.
Ludrick joined the Central University of Technology, as lecturer, and started his research in Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing.
